A busy day of a busy few weeks of work. On top of that an elderly woman, who most likely had dementia, was brought in by a kind person because she didn’t know where her family was. Serendipitously, a coworker knew her children.
A good night of volunteering where a grandmother and her 5 grandchildren, who only needed to find a restroom, were shown more kindness than she expected.
Afterwards, approached by another elderly woman, who also most likely had mental health issues, saying she’d been looking for her car for a couple of hours. After some time of searching with a friend we had to give up. But she was thankful for the help that was given.
And finally, at the end of it all, I thought someone had taken my backpack that had my wallet and keys in it. Thankfully, it was just taken by a friend of a friend and I got it back easily along with an order of fried pickles he bought me for the trouble.
So basically today was a reminder that there’s always somebody or something that needs help but that there are kind people out there willing to help.
